Job Description

Responsibilities

We are hiring a Finance Manager (Group Consolidation & Regional Operations) to oversee our group-level financial management, consolidation, and reporting across Southeast Asia.


Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Control & Group Accounting

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting (GL, fixed assets, basic payroll accounting) at the group level.
  • Review monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and key reconciliations (bank, AR, AP, intercompany, fixed assets) for multiple entities to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform analytical reviews and variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
  • Ensure timely month-end closing and standardized reporting timelines across the group.

2. Group Consolidation

  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for the Group.
  • Ensure accurate intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and foreign currency translations.
  • Support audit requirements and maintain consistency in accounting treatment and group policies.

3. Holding Entity Management

  • Oversee month-end closing for holding entities.
  • Monitor holding-level transactions, including investment movements, shareholder loans, and funding flows.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.

4. FP&A, Budgeting & Project Costing

  • Provide actionable financial insights and variance commentary to management.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting by consolidating inputs from various regional entities.
  • Prepare financial summaries, dashboards, and KPIs for management reviews.
  • Review project-level costing (project P&L) to assess profitability and margins for key productions and campaigns.

5. Statutory Compliance & Regional Governance

  • Oversee statutory and tax compliance across multiple countries (e.g., SST/CP204 in MY, GST/ACRA in SG, BPJS/LKPM in ID).
  • Liaise directly with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries to meet all regulatory deadlines.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and propose process improvements to strengthen governance.

6. Team Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Supervise, mentor, and set clear reporting expectations for finance executives in Malaysia and across the region.
  • Drive continuous improvements in reporting workflows, systems, and processes as the group scales.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or a recognized professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • ~7+ years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Strong background in month-end closing, group consolidation, management reporting, and FP&A.
  • Experience with multi-entity or regional operations (Southeast Asia / Hong Kong exposure is a strong plus).
  • Proficient in accounting software (SQL Accounting preferred) and advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable to tight timelines, and an effective communicator comfortable working with cross-border teams.
