Job description:

Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, splicing, testing, and maintenance of fiber optic cables.
• Conduct fiber optic fusion and mechanical splicing for both single-mode and multi-mode fibers.
• Interpret and work from fiber network plans, splicing diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Conduct OTDR, power meter, and light source testing to ensure proper signal transmission and troubleshoot faults.
• Install enclosures, patch panels, and other fiber termination hardware.
• Maintain accurate splicing records, test results, and daily activity logs.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and industry standards at all times.
• Coordinate with team members and contractors to meet project deadlines.
• Travel to various sites as needed for fieldwork.
• Perform other duties related to fiber optic installation and maintenance as assigned.

Requirements:

• Certificate/Diploma in Electrical, Telecommunication, or related technical field.
• Proven experience in fiber optic splicing and testing is preferred.
• Familiar with fiber tools and equipment (OTDR, fusion splicer, power meter, etc.).
• Ability to read and understand network diagrams and technical drawings.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work outdoors and travel when required.
• Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
