Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assembly Technician at Evlos, located in Puchong. The Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling, troubleshooting, and supporting our vision inspection systems and manufacturing defect rejection processes.

Responsibilities

• Assemble custom machines and vision systems based on drawings and BOMs.
• Install and align parts like actuators, cylinders, gears, and rails.
• Work closely with engineers to ensure proper fit and function.
• Do basic fitting, tapping, drilling, and minor machining when needed.
• Build sub-assemblies and final assemblies with precision.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during builds.
• Support electrical and control teams with mechanical integration.
• Keep tools and work areas clean and organized.
• Follow SOPs, safety rules, and quality standards.
• Join site installations and make adjustments if needed.

Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with basic electrical and mechanical systems, including conveyors, robotic arms, sensors, and cameras.
• Experience in working with hand and power tools, and reading basic technical drawings.
• Preferred: 1 to 2 years of experience in assembly or related field, ideally within an automation or manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mechanical assembly of automation or custom machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and BOMs.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Familiarity with pneumatics, bearings, linear guides, and mechanical drive systems.
• Basic understanding of how mechanical systems integrate with electrical and control components.
• Knowledge of machine safety standards and best practices.
• Experience with mechanical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Ability to assist in on-site machine setup and alignment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Certification in mechanical or mechatronics systems (e.g., CIDB) is a plus.

• Have experience or interest in assembly and troubleshooting within an industrial or automation setting.
