Role Description This is a contract, on-site Sales Business Development role based in Singapore. The Sales Business Development professional will identify and qualify new business opportunities, build and nurture relationships with partners and clients, and support revenue growth for Ocean Purpose Project’s initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market research, generating leads, managing the sales pipeline, preparing proposals and presentations, and maintaining accurate records in existing CRM tools. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to align sales strategies with project goals, representing the organization at events and meetings, and providing ongoing customer service and account management support. The successful candidate will help expand Ocean Purpose Project’s reach and impact while promoting ocean-positive solutions to businesses and communities.


Qualifications

  • Immediate client acquisition strategy from existing network and fully driven to gain commission
  • Independent in remote working style with integrity
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret market data, identify trends, and support strategic sales decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders, delivering presentations, and negotiating agreements.
  • Proven experience in lead generation and prospecting to build and manage a high-quality sales pipeline.
  • Ability to conduct market research to assess new opportunities, competitive landscapes, and customer needs.
  • Customer service skills to maintain long-term client relationships and ensure a positive partner experience.
  • Prior experience in sales, business development, or partnerships, ideally within sustainability, ocean conservation, or impact-focused sectors.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with diverse stakeholders, including corporate and nonprofit partners.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and basic productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, email).
  • Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated interest in ocean health, environmental sustainability, or social impact initiatives.
