The role
The Factory / Production Manager is responsible for leading the overall manufacturing operations of the Group's 20-acre facility in
Johor Bahru, Malaysia
, supporting
high-volume residential carpentry and joinery projects in Singapore, including condominiums, apartments, and high-end luxury developments
. The factory typically supports
2–3 residential projects concurrently, averaging approximately 400–500 units per project
.
The role oversees production planning, factory operations, manpower and resource management, quality control, inventory and material planning, ensuring the
large-volume production of joinery, cabinetry and built-in furniture across multiple residential developments
is carried out efficiently, consistently and in accordance with project schedules and quality requirements. (condominiums, apartments

Key Responsibilities
Manage overall day-to-day factory operations, production planning, scheduling and manufacturing output for
large-scale residential carpentry and joinery projects
.
Plan and monitor production schedules across
multiple concurrent residential projects
, ensuring carpentry and joinery works are completed according to project, block and unit delivery requirements.
Review production/shop drawings, material requirements and fabrication details prior to production to identify potential technical, constructability or production issues.
Oversee the fabrication and production of
carpentry, joinery, cabinetry and built-in furniture
in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
Coordinate closely with Singapore project teams on production priorities, project schedules, site requirements and delivery sequencing.
Plan and optimize
batch/volume production
to support large residential developments while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.
Optimize manpower, machinery, materials and other factory resources to improve production capacity and efficiency.
Monitor material consumption, production costs and wastage, and implement improvements to reduce material losses and rework.
Implement and maintain quality control standards across fabrication, assembly and finishing processes.
Lead, train and supervise production supervisors, carpenters, machine operators and factory workers.
Oversee material planning, inventory levels and coordination with procurement teams to ensure sufficient materials are available according to production schedules.
Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to ensure production targets are achieved.
Coordinate preventive maintenance of CNC machines, woodworking equipment and other factory machinery to minimize production downtime.
Ensure workplace safety, housekeeping and compliance with company policies and factory procedures.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Wood Technology, Construction or an equivalent field.
8–12 years of experience in carpentry, joinery, cabinetry or woodworking manufacturing
, preferably supporting residential developments.
Minimum 3–5 years in a factory management or production leadership role.
Experience managing
high-volume production and/or multiple concurrent residential projects
would be highly advantageous.
Good understanding of carpentry/joinery production workflows, from shop drawings and material preparation through fabrication, assembly, finishing, quality inspection and delivery.
Strong knowledge of woodworking production, CNC machinery, materials, laminates and finishing processes, including the ability to interpret shop and production drawings.
Strong production planning, manpower management, quality control and problem-solving capabilities.
Comfortable travelling between Johor and Singapore when required.
