Pipe Support Lead

Summary

The Pipe Support Lead is responsible for leading pipe support engineering activities for major fixed offshore platform in oil and gas industry. The role includes support design review, support selection, structural load coordination, support standardization, interface management and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pipe support engineering activities.
• Review support philosophy and project standards.
• Review support locations, types and specifications.
• Coordinate with piping stress engineers.
• Coordinate support loads with civil and structural teams.
• Review spring supports and special supports.
• Manage support deliverables and schedules.
• Support 3D model reviews.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and industry codes.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related.
• 10+ years Oil & Gas EPC experience.
• Strong pipe support engineering experience.
• Experience with CAESAR II.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3.
• Experience with SP3D, E3D or PDMS.
• Prior lead or checking experience preferred.
