Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software QA Team Lead to lead the Quality Assurance function across software development projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in QA leadership, test strategy, test management, defect management, and Agile delivery, with the ability to drive quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage QA team members across multiple projects.
• Define QA strategies, testing approaches, test plans, effort estimates, and timelines.
• Review test scenarios and test cases and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Manage Functional, Integration, System, Regression, UAT, Performance, and Security Testing.
• Monitor testing progress, quality metrics, risks, and release readiness.
• Lead defect management, prioritization, tracking, and defect triage.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Project Managers.
• Support production deployments and post-release validation.
• Standardize QA processes, documentation, and testing practices.
• Drive continuous improvement and enhance test automation practices.
• Evaluate and introduce suitable QA tools and technologies.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of SDLC & STLC.
• Manual Testing and Test Planning.
• Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Defect Management and Risk Management.
• SQL and database testing.
• API Testing – Postman.
• Test Management Tools such as Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts.

Preferred Skills

• Test Automation – Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Performance Testing – JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Cloud platforms – AWS / Azure.
• DevOps practices.
• REST API automation.
• Microservices testing.
• Camunda / BPM platform testing.
• Banking or Insurance domain experience.
• ISTQB Advanced / Test Manager certification.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6–10 years of Software QA experience.
• Minimum 2–3 years of QA Team Lead / QA Leadership experience.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong experience working in Agile environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• ISTQB Foundation certification is preferred; ISTQB Advanced Test Manager is an advantage.
