Role Overview
We are looking for a DevOps & Release Engineer with at least 2 years of relevant experience to support the hosting, deployment, and operational reliability of JIVIEWS applications across cloud-hosted and on-premises customer environments.
The successful candidate will manage application environments, release builds to Testing, UAT, and Production, improve deployment automation, and support infrastructure-related discussions with customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the health, availability, and performance of JIVIEWS environments, including hosted and on-premises deployments.
- Prepare, coordinate, deploy, and validate application releases across Testing, UAT, and Production environments.
- Develop and maintain deployment scripts, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Support release planning, rollback preparation, post-release monitoring, and incident troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot hosting, server, network, database connectivity, and deployment-related issues.
- Maintain environment configuration, release records, deployment documentation, and operational procedures.
- Work with development, QA, and project teams to ensure environments are stable and ready for release.
- Provide infrastructure input during customer meetings, technical discussions, and proposal preparation.
- Coordinate with senior engineers, hosting providers, and customer IT teams for more complex infrastructure matters.
- Identify and implement improvements to release reliability, monitoring, security, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, application support, release management, cloud infrastructure, or a related technical role.
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience deploying and supporting web or enterprise applications.
- Working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows Server administration.
- Familiarity with Git and version-control workflows.
- Basic to intermediate scripting ability in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of networking, application hosting, databases, and environment configuration.
- Experience with Docker, monitoring tools, and on-premises deployment is an advantage.
- Good troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and customer-facing skills.
Growth Path
This role can grow into a Senior DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Solutions Architect position.
