About the Role:

We are seeking an IT Partner to bridge the gap between our research entities (REs) and IT teams, ensuring that all IT initiatives align with the operational, tactical, and strategic needs of the organization. This role will require you to engage with key stakeholders, manage IT projects, and facilitate process improvements to meet business and operational requirements effectively. Key Responsibilities:

• IT Planning and Communication: Understand and translate the IT needs of the research entities (REs) and work closely with them to plan and address their IT requirements.

• Collaboration and Feedback: Facilitate continuous communication with REs, providing updates, advising on security policies, user experience, and addressing IT-related matters.

• Process Improvement and Compliance: Engage REs in IT initiatives, policy and compliance adherence, IT budget management, and ensure smooth operational processes for managing REs' IT needs.

• Project Management: Independently manage the implementation of IT solutions that comply with corporate directions and meet the RE's business or operational requirements.

• IT Infrastructure Support: Be proficient in network setup, IT systems, data storage solutions, virtual machines, and cloud-based services like SingAREN.

• Service Desk and ITSS Coordination: Familiarize with the IT Service desk processes, monitor ticket statuses, and translate ITSS service offerings into actionable requirements for REs.

• Cybersecurity Awareness: Regularly share and adopt new IT initiatives, driving cybersecurity awareness among REs and ensuring compliance with IT PSPG policies (e.g., IM8, IT Policies).

• Emerging IT Technologies: Keep up to date with emerging IT technologies, attending conferences and conducting proof-of-concept activities with IT vendors to enhance digitalization efforts and productivity improvements.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate deep domain knowledge of REs, develop strong relationships, and align RE interests with organizational priorities.

• Effective Communication: Act as a translation layer for complex IT policies, ensuring clarity for non-technical stakeholders, including researchers and institute management.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, service desk management, and project management, with a solid understanding of network setup and IT systems.

• Technical Skills: Familiarity with IT platforms and data center operations, cloud services (e.g., SingAREN, AWS, Microsoft Azure), and ITSS service offerings.

• Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery meets business requirements and compliance.

• Cybersecurity Awareness: Knowledge of IT security best practices and commitment to driving cybersecurity initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in IT infrastructure, cloud services, or cybersecurity are a plus.

• Familiarity with IT policies and compliance standards in research or government sectors.
