About the Role

TutorJohn Learning Centre is looking for a Systems, IT & AI Automation Intern to work with our team on improving and digitalising our day-to-day operations.

As we continue to grow, we want to reduce repetitive manual work, improve efficiency and build better systems that allow our centres to operate smoothly.

This is a hands-on, project-based internship where you will have the opportunity to identify real operational problems and explore how technology, AI and automation can solve them.

What You’ll Work On

* Study our existing operational processes and identify areas that are repetitive or heavily manual

* Explore ways to automate administrative workflows and reduce manpower requirements

* Help improve systems for areas such as student records, attendance, scheduling, payments, enquiries and internal operations

* Explore the use of AI tools and automation platforms to improve productivity

* Connect different tools/systems to reduce duplicate data entry and manual follow-ups

* Create simple dashboards, databases or internal tools where useful

* Research and recommend new technologies that can improve centre operations

* Test new solutions and work with our team to implement them

* Document processes and create simple SOPs so that systems can be maintained after implementation

Examples of Projects

You may get to explore projects such as:

Enquiry Automation — improving how enquiries are captured, assigned and followed up.

Attendance & Scheduling — reducing manual tracking of student attendance, make-up lessons and class schedules.

Payment & Invoice Processes — improving reconciliation and reducing repetitive administrative work.

AI Operations Assistant — exploring how AI can assist staff with routine enquiries, information retrieval, reporting and administrative tasks.

Management Dashboard — creating a central view for important operational information and performance indicators.

Who We’re Looking For

Students studying Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, AI, Software Development, FinTech or related fields are welcome to apply.

You don’t need to know everything from Day 1. We are looking for someone who:

* Enjoys solving problems

* Is interested in AI and automation

* Can understand a manual process and think of a better way to do it

* Is willing to research and experiment with different solutions

* Is comfortable learning new software and technology

* Can work independently on projects and communicate progress clearly

Experience with tools such as Python, APIs, databases, Google Workspace, Microsoft Power Automate, Zapier, Make, n8n, AI/LLM tools or other automation platforms would be advantageous but is not compulsory.
