Solution Architect

Location - Malaysia

Mode- Yearly Renewable Contract

The Solution Architect is responsible for defining, designing, and governing end-to-end technology solutions, including cloud, data, and AI-enabled capabilities, that meet business needs, align with enterprise architecture standards, and ensure scalability, security, and sustainability across major initiatives.

The role acts as the key interface between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

Architecture & Solution Design

• Design end‑to‑end solution architectures covering applications, data, integration, infrastructure, and cloud platforms
• Translate business strategies and requirements into fit‑for‑purpose technical solutions
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, security, and governance standards
• Define non‑functional requirements (performance, availability, scalability, reliability)
• Design and implement AI-enabled solutions, including Generative AI use cases, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and governance standards..

Technical Design & Governance

• Provide architectural direction to development, infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams
• Review solution designs, technical documentation, and major implementation decisions
• Manage architectural risks, dependencies, and technical debt
• Define AI operational standards, including model monitoring, performance measurement, prompt management, and model versioning.

Stakeholder & Delivery Engagement

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and project managers
• Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing architectures
• Contribute to enterprise standards, reference architectures, and best practices
• Contribute to enterprise AI reference architectures, patterns, standards, and reusable accelerators.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8–10 years of overall IT experience, with 4-5+ years in solution architecture
• Proven experience delivering large‑scale, complex enterprise solutions
• Architecture or cloud certifications preferred (e.g. TOGAF, Azure/GCP Solution Architect)
• Experience delivering AI, analytics, or Generative AI solutions from concept through production deployment is advantageous.

TECHNICAL / FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

Architecture & Technology

• Strong experience across:
• Application architecture (microservices, APIs, event‑driven systems)
• Cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, GCP) & Integration patterns
• Databases (relational, NoSQL, data lakes, analytics)
• Solid understanding of:
• Security architecture and compliance principles
• DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
• High availability, resilience, and disaster recovery design
• Proficiency in architecture modeling and documentation (e.g. C4 Model, UML, ArchiMate)
• Familiarity with AI technologies and platforms such as Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Databricks, and related cloud-native AI capabilities.

Delivery & Governance

• Experience working in Agile, hybrid delivery environments
• Strong documentation and design governance capability
