Position: VP of Risk Management
Employment Type: Permanent
Location: Lorong Dungun Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Working Arrangement: Onsite, 5 days a week (Mondays-Fridays)
Working Hours in MY time: 9AM - 6PM
About the Role
We're looking for a VP, Risk Management to provide specialist oversight of reinsurance and retakaful risks, strengthening MNRB Group’s resilience, capital efficiency, and risk governance. The role will serve as a key SME for reinsurance risk and enterprise risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess reinsurance/retakaful programmes, retention, risk transfer, counterparty and catastrophe risks.
- Support capital planning, ICAAP, stress testing and solvency assessments.
- Develop risk governance frameworks, KRIs, dashboards and Board-level risk reporting.
- Enhance risk analytics, data quality, methodologies and reporting automation.
- Drive risk awareness, training, ESG integration and Group risk initiatives.
- Provide strategic risk insights on underwriting, market and emerging risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Actuarial Science or related discipline.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in reinsurance, retakaful or enterprise risk management within (re)insurance.
- 3+ years in a leadership/managerial role within Risk, Reinsurance, Actuarial or Capital Management.
- Part-qualified Actuary, FRM, CERA or relevant Risk Management certification.
- Strong knowledge of (re)insurance/retakaful operations, underwriting risks, regulations and Shariah requirements.
- Strong capabilities in risk assessment, catastrophe/accumulation risk, capital & solvency, governance, analytics and stakeholder management.
Pay: RM15,000.00 - RM30,000.00 per month
