Responsibilities
Take charge of ship repair, construction, and conversion projects, providing direction and management.
Lead daily VSCC meetings to address safety concerns related to hot works and incompatible tasks onboard, ensuring the well-being of personnel and property.
Ensure adherence to repair/refit schedules through effective planning, project monitoring, cost control, and timely execution.
Cultivate positive relationships with customers, fostering teamwork and demonstrating a strong commitment to their interests.
Resolve daily conflicts at the operational level by closely monitoring and coordinating sequential and incompatible tasks that may impact the project's master schedule.
Maintain close communication with classification societies, ship owners, specialist engineers, vessel crew, and ship agents to ensure the successful completion of projects that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Requirements
Candidate should have previous experience chairing VSCC Meetings
Successful candidate should have completed the
Ship Repair Management
Certification
At least 7 years of
experience in Marine / Heavy Industries
Diploma or Degree in Marine / Mechanical / or Naval Architecture
Experience in cable laying, pipe laying or turrets is highly advantageous
