Are you resourceful, street-smart and not afraid of a challenge?

Platinum Credit Pte Ltd is looking for a young, driven and highly resourceful individual to join our team as a Debt Recovery & Investigation Officer.

This is not a desk-bound administrative job.

You will be dealing with real situations that require investigation, negotiation, persistence, communication skills and commercial judgement. Some borrowers may be difficult to contact, may change their contact details or may become unresponsive. Your job is to understand the situation, locate the borrower through lawful means, communicate effectively and work towards recovering outstanding payments.

Think of it as a combination of finance + investigation + negotiation + fieldwork.

YOUR ROLE

You will be responsible for:

• Following up on overdue accounts and outstanding repayments.
• Communicating with borrowers to understand the reasons for non-payment and negotiate appropriate repayment arrangements.
• Investigating and locating borrowers who have become difficult to contact, using lawful and professional methods.
• Conducting field visits to borrowers' residences or workplaces when appropriate.
• Gathering and verifying information relevant to debt recovery.
• Developing practical strategies to resolve difficult recovery cases.
• Maintaining accurate records of all recovery activities and follow-ups.
• Working closely with management to determine the appropriate recovery approach for different cases.
• Following up persistently until cases are resolved.
• Occasionally working outside normal office hours when circumstances require it.

THE REALITY OF THIS JOB

This is a demanding role.

There will be difficult conversations. There will be borrowers who avoid calls. Some cases will require persistence, investigation and field visits. From time to time, work outside normal office hours may be necessary.

If you are looking for a comfortable 9-to-5 desk job where every day is predictable, this probably isn't the job for you.
