Job Description

Responsibilities

CLINIC ASSISTANT

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to patients from check-in until completion of their clinic visit.
  • Handle front-desk activities including patient registration, appointment coordination, and walk-in enquiries.
  • Respond to calls, messages, and general questions from patients in a courteous manner.
  • Perform basic patient assessments, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, body weight, and SpO₂.
  • Support the attending doctor throughout consultations and treatments.
  • Ensure the examination room is prepared with the required instruments and supplies.
  • Carry out clinical support tasks such as ECG, nebuliser setup, wound care, injections, and other procedures under supervision.
  • Prepare prescribed medication accurately in accordance with the doctor’s instructions and clinic procedures.
  • Check medication labels, quantities, and patient details before handing medication to patients.
  • Provide basic guidance on medication usage as instructed by the doctor.
  • Assist with cashiering, invoicing, payment collection, and receipt issuance.
  • Key in patient and treatment information into the clinic management system.
  • Ensure patient records and relevant forms are complete, organised, and properly filed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient and clinic information.
  • Monitor stock levels of medicines, consumables, and other medical items.
  • Assist with stock receiving, checking, labelling, and proper storage.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment throughout the clinic.
  • Ensure treatment areas and reusable equipment are cleaned and disinfected appropriately.
  • Follow proper procedures when handling sharps and clinical waste.
  • Notify the supervisor of any shortage, damage, malfunction, or safety concern.
  • Assist with panel claims, insurance forms, medical certificates, and other clinic documentation where applicable.
  • Work closely with doctors and other team members to maintain efficient clinic operations.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the clinic management.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.
  • Healthcare, nursing, medical assistant, or clinic experience will be an added advantage.
  • Training may be provided for suitable candidates without prior experience.
  • Pleasant and professional manner when dealing with patients.
  • Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Comfortable using computers and basic clinic software.
  • Good organisational skills with attention to accuracy.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks during busy periods.
  • Dependable, punctual, and willing to take responsibility.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Able to work effectively with the clinic team.
  • Comfortable working according to a roster, including weekends and public holidays where applicable.

Pay: RM1,700.00 per month
