We are seeking an experienced L2 SOC Analyst - Sentinel to monitor and investigate security incidents, conduct phishing investigations, and collaborate with IT and security teams to strengthen our security posture.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts using Microsoft Sentinel SIEM.
• Utilise security tools and frameworks for threat detection, investigation, and response.
• Analyse and triage security incidents, escalating as necessary.
• Conduct phishing email investigations, including analysis of email headers, URLs, attachments, and indicators of compromise (IOCs).
• Support incident response activities, including containment, remediation, recovery, and documentation.
• Work with Microsoft security components and demonstrate understanding of SIEM architecture.
• Support and manage security tools such as EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management solutions.
• Apply the NIST Cybersecurity Framework within security operations.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams on security incidents and process improvements.
  
  
  

Requirements

Must-have:

• Diploma or equivalent in a related discipline.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in Malaysia. Visa sponsorship is not available.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a SOC Engineer/Analyst, including at least 1 year in an L2 SOC role.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Sentinel SIEM.
• Good understanding of Microsoft security components and SIEM architecture.
• Knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Hands-on experience in phishing email investigation.
• Experience in security monitoring and incident response.
• Familiarity with EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security.
  
  
  

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge or exposure to AI usage within SOC operations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience with automation tools for SOC operations (e.g. SOAR platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel Automation, Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR, or Splunk Phantom).
