Role Description The Policy Research Intern role at Atlas Workspace is a full-time, on-site position based in Singapore. The intern will support the development of policy-relevant insights by reviewing academic and policy papers, summarizing key findings, and mapping how different sources connect within the platform. Day-to-day tasks include conducting literature scans on assigned topics, organizing and tagging research materials, and preparing clear, concise briefs for internal stakeholders. The intern will also assist in evaluating how policy users interact with Atlas Workspace, providing feedback on features that can improve research workflows and understanding. Collaboration with product, research, and operations team members will be frequent, and the intern is expected to document work carefully to maintain transparency and reproducibility.
Qualifications
- Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to read and interpret academic papers, policy reports, and technical documents.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex material clearly and concisely for diverse audiences.
- Comfort with digital tools and data organization platforms; interest in research technology, knowledge management, or information design is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment in Singapore, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Background or current studies in public policy, political science, economics, social sciences, law, data science, or a related field; prior internship or project experience in policy research is beneficial.
- Demonstrated curiosity about how evidence informs policy decisions, and a commitment to rigorous, ethical, and transparent research practices.
