Job Overview

We are seeking for a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) – Civil to support site-based engineering and construction activities in Singapore.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of civil construction, site supervision, inspection, and technical coordination. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience from any type of civil/construction project is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor civil construction activities at site in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Conduct routine site inspections to monitor workmanship, progress, and technical compliance.
• Read and interpret civil construction drawings, specifications, and site instructions.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and site teams regarding daily construction activities.
• Identify discrepancies between design information and actual site conditions and report them to the relevant technical team.
• Assist with inspection, testing, and quality-control activities and maintain proper records.
• Monitor outstanding site issues and follow up on corrective and rectification actions.
• Prepare and support site reports, inspection records, progress updates, and project documentation.
• Assist engineers and project teams with technical coordination and site documentation.
• Ensure assigned RTO duties are carried out responsibly while maintaining focus on quality, safety, and project timelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in civil/construction projects is mandatory.
• Experience from any type of project is acceptable.
• Relevant Diploma, Certificate, or qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret civil and construction drawings.
• Basic understanding of site supervision, inspection, and construction processes.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify technical and site issues.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Singapore project experience will be an advantage.
• Candidates must be willing to work in Singapore.
