The Parts Officer is responsible for overseeing customer requests on a daily basis while managing the spare parts inventory at the Yamazaki Mazak Singapore Parts Centre. This role involves ensuring that all spare parts required to meet customer needs are readily available, properly stored, accurately tracked, and shipped in a timely manner. In addition, the Parts Officer coordinates procurement activities, monitors inventory levels, and manages the distribution of spare parts to support seamless plant operations. By doing so, the officer plays a vital role in minimizing downtime, maintaining efficiency, and ensuring that customers consistently receive high-quality service

Job description:

  • Customer service in parts centre, handling customer enquiry from local and overseas from calls or email for parts related issues.
  • Prepare quotations & arrange shipment to customers
  • Prepare invoice, delivery order, case mark for shipments
  • Monitor delivery schedule & coordinating with warehouse personnel as well as internal and external suppliers.
  • Request quotations & processing of purchase order to suppliers
  • Manage & coordinate for daily operation within internal & external customer
  • Performs administrative duties & inventory stock taking periodically
  • Other ad-hoc task assigned by superior

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Minimum Diploma in Logistics / Shipping;
    • Associate degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in spare parts management, inventory control, or a related field (required) or customer service experience in spare parts handling.
    • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred).
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
    Good communication skills to liaise with maintenance, production, and procurement teams.
