We are partnering with a well-established global organisation seeking an experienced Senior Treaty Reinsurance Specialist to act as a Subject Matter Expert across Treaty Reinsurance operations.

This role is suited to an experienced reinsurance professional with strong technical knowledge in Reinsurance Treaty, who can provide guidance on complex treaty matters, support key stakeholders and contribute to operational best practices and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Treaty Reinsurance Subject Matter Expertise

• Serve as a key technical resource for Treaty Reinsurance, providing guidance on treaty structures, contractual terms, premium and claims administration, and operational requirements.
• Review and interpret treaty agreements, slips, endorsements and supporting documentation, ensuring accurate application of contractual terms.
• Provide technical guidance on more complex or non-standard treaty transactions and support the resolution of operational and contractual discrepancies.
• Act as an escalation point for treaty-related queries, working closely with internal and regional stakeholders to identify appropriate solutions.
• Support colleagues through knowledge sharing, technical guidance and development of treaty administration best practices.

Premium & Treaty Operations

• Provide oversight across the administration of proportional and non-proportional treaty programmes, ensuring accuracy throughout the treaty lifecycle.
• Review premium calculations, statements, adjustments, treaty accounts and related documentation against contractual terms.
• Identify discrepancies and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve premium, accounting or documentation issues.
• Support treaty renewals, amendments and portfolio changes from an operational and technical perspective.

Stakeholder & Client Support

• Work closely with underwriting, claims, finance, operations and client-facing teams as the go-to specialist for Treaty Reinsurance matters.
• Collaborate with regional and international stakeholders on complex treaty issues and operational requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience within Treaty Reinsurance, ideally gained across treaty operations, administration, technical accounting and/or claims.
• Deep working knowledge of Treaty Reinsurance structures and processes, including proportional and non-proportional treaties.
• Strong ability to interpret treaty contracts, slips, endorsements and contractual provisions and translate these into operational requirements.
