Full Time Textile Specialist Jobs, Salary up to SGD 4,120 in Nyana Nyana Eco Collective Central Region (Singapore) - Maukerja

Textiles sit at the centre of product quality, appearance and performance. This role focuses on the practical side of textile selection and development, supporting the process from material research through to finished product requirements.

The work will involve a combination of material knowledge, supplier coordination, product evaluation and documentation.

A TYPICAL WEEK MAY INCLUDE

• Researching fabrics, fibres, finishes and textile constructions that are suitable for upcoming product requirements.
• Comparing material samples based on factors such as hand feel, weight, durability, appearance, construction and intended use.
• Communicating with suppliers and mills to obtain samples, specifications, test information and other technical details.
• Reviewing fabric samples and recording observations clearly for use during product development discussions.
• Assisting with the selection and refinement of materials for new products or product updates.
• Checking textile specifications against agreed product requirements and following up on discrepancies when necessary.
• Keeping track of sample submissions, revisions and approvals throughout the development process.
• Working alongside product, design, sourcing or production teams when textile decisions affect other stages of development.
• Staying informed about new textile materials, manufacturing methods and developments in more sustainable fabric options.
• Maintaining organised records covering fabric references, specifications, supplier information and approved materials.

WHAT MATTERS IN THIS ROLE

A background in textile studies, fashion, product development, sourcing or a related discipline would be relevant.

You should be comfortable handling physical samples and discussing material characteristics in a clear and practical way. Attention to detail is important, particularly when comparing specifications and identifying differences between samples.

Previous experience working with textile suppliers, fabric sourcing or product development would be useful. Familiarity with different fibre types, fabric constructions and textile finishing processes will also help.

The position requires someone who can manage follow-ups independently while communicating effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
