Job Description
Responsibilities
We are seeking a Technical Artist to bridge the gap between our art team and engineering group. You will establish efficient asset production pipelines, author custom shaders, optimize graphics performance, and ensure our visual ambition runs smoothly on target mobile devices.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline & Tools Development:
Build and maintain art import pipelines, automated export scripts, and validation tools to streamline workflows for 2D/3D artists and animators.
Shaders & Rendering:
Author custom mobile-friendly shaders (PBR, stylized toon shading, dissolve, rim lighting) and configure lighting/rendering settings in-engine.
Mobile Performance & Optimization:
Monitor memory budgets, draw calls, vertex counts, and texture memory using profiling tools (e.g., RenderDoc, Unity Profiler).
Rigging & Tech Setup:
Assist with complex character rigging, cloth/hair physics setups, and procedural asset integration.
Requirements
Experience as a Technical Artist in mobile or cross-platform game development.
Proficiency with shader authoring languages (HLSL/GLSL) or node-based shader tools (Shader Graph / Amplify).
Strong working knowledge of C# or Python for editor scripting and tool development.
In-depth understanding of mobile graphics architecture, memory limits, and rendering pipelines (URP/HDRP).
