Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Executive to join our Human Resources team. The role will support and coordinate key HR functions, with a primary focus on payroll, performance management and HR operations. The successful candidate should be organised, analytical and able to handle confidential information with professionalism and accuracy.


Role Description

Payroll

  • Support HR department functions and ensure all staffing and employee-related matters are properly maintained, including HRIS and HRMS, while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process, ensuring accurate salary disbursement by the 27th of every month.
  • Review, prepare and submit all applicable statutory contributions and payments, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB, ensuring timely and accurate compliance.
  • Check, verify and reconcile employee expense claims for accuracy and compliance before processing through the payroll system.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate information on staff remuneration, allowances and benefits.

Performance Management

  • Coordinate the implementation of the organisation’s Performance Management System.
  • Support the KPI setting, performance review and annual appraisal processes.
  • Monitor KPI and appraisal completion and follow up with relevant departments.
  • Maintain performance management records and prepare reports for management review.
  • Assist in reviewing and improving performance management processes, templates and guidelines.

HR Operations

  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day HR activities in accordance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Respond to HR-related enquiries from employees and supervisors and provide appropriate support.
  • Prepare HR reports, data and documentation for management review.
  • Support HR audits, compliance activities and process improvements.
  • Contribute to HR projects and other HR initiatives as required.
  • Perform other HR-related duties assigned by the Superior from time to time.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably with exposure to payroll and performance management.
  • Good working knowledge of payroll processes, statutory compliance, HR systems and HR data reporting.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and digital solutions to support HR processes and improve work efficiency is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with ISO management systems and Education Organisation Management Systems (EOMS) is an added advantage.
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Good command of English.
  • Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with the ability to support strategic and operational HR initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail in handling sensitive information.
  • Prior experience in an educational or nonprofit environment is an added advantage.
