Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Ipoh. The Pharmacist will dispense medications accurately, provide medication counselling, and ensure prescriptions are processed in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions for safety and efficacy, managing inventory and stock levels, monitoring expiry dates, and maintaining proper documentation. The role involves offering professional advice on over-the-counter products, supporting health campaigns and screening programs, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes. The Pharmacist will also contribute to customer service excellence, uphold high ethical standards, and support continuous quality improvement in the pharmacy.

Qualifications

  • Recognised Degree in Pharmacy and valid pharmacist registration/licence with the relevant Malaysian regulatory body.
  • Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge, including pharmacotherapy, drug interactions, and counselling on prescription and over-the-counter medications.
  • Proficiency in prescription processing, medication dispensing, and accuracy in dosage calculations and documentation.
  • Skills in patient education, communication, and the ability to explain complex medical information in an accessible manner.
  • Capability in inventory management, including stock control, expiry monitoring, and ordering of pharmaceutical products.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and standard operating procedures in community pharmacy practice.
  • Customer service orientation with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to use pharmacy management systems and digital tools.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Ipoh on a full-time schedule and to participate in health promotion activities and community outreach.
  • Prior experience in community pharmacy or related healthcare settings is an added advantage.
