Speech Therapist (Full / Part-time)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision and consultation to enhance rehab service standards
• Assist in establishing evidence-based practice through guidelines, protocols and equipment
• Provide direct clinical service to a general or specialised group of patients
• Coordinate the rehab team to enhance manpower usage and maintain good rehab standards
• Follow up on improvements after auditing
• Support procurement of equipment and allocation
• Maintain equipment and its inventory
• Assist in organising staff and caseload coverage
• Assist in leading staff meetings related to rehab service standards
• Appraise junior staff
• Conduct incident investigation and reporting
• Assist in introducing measures to enhance efficiency and work safety
• Follow up on individual staff training plans
• Assist in organising drills and audits to ensure staff competency
• Coordinate departmental in-service training planning, projects and individual training plans to progress rehab development
• Enhance staff specialisation and skillsets
• Assist in building up successors at different levels
• Assist in leading research activities and projects

Job Requirements

• Recognised Master's in Speech Therapy
• Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council
• More than 5 years of experience as a Speech Therapist in a community setting
• Experience in project management preferred
• Able to work well in a team and independently
• Competent in using Microsoft Office software
• Strong management, leadership and problem-solving skills
