About the Role

The corporate website serves as an important digital touchpoint for industry stakeholders, professionals, and members of the public. The existing website currently presents usability and navigation challenges, resulting in difficulties for users when locating information and completing key tasks. The overall user experience also requires improvement to better reflect the organisation's position and professional standing. To address these challenges, the organisation intends to conduct a structured discovery and design exercise. This will involve reviewing web analytics, conducting stakeholder interviews and workshops, performing usability testing, and benchmarking against leading industry websites and exemplary government digital portals. The key deliverables will include validated wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes for both desktop and mobile, which will serve as the foundation for the subsequent development and implementation phase.

Responsibilities

• Define target audiences and establish success metrics in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder interviews and questionnaires to gather requirements and feedback.
• Analyse relevant data points and conduct heuristic evaluations to derive actionable insights.
• Facilitate workshops to gather requirements, validate assumptions, and identify user needs.
• Guide the identification of user personas and map both current-state and future-state user journeys.
• Facilitate the development of the information architecture using techniques such as card sorting and tree testing.
• Conduct benchmarking exercises against relevant industry and government websites.
• Plan and conduct usability testing to validate user behaviours, assumptions, and proposed solutions.
• Develop wireframes and user flows based on findings from the discovery phase.
• Ensure designs are aligned with applicable design kits and Whole-of-Government (WOG) standards.
• Refine designs based on validated findings, usability results, and stakeholder feedback.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure proposed designs are feasible for implementation on the designated web platform.
• Develop and hand over high-fidelity desktop and mobile prototypes to the implementation team.

Qualifications

Familiarity with government web publishing platforms would be an added advantage but is not mandatory.
