Responsibilities

Stonemasons are skilled craftsmen who cut, shape, and lay stones to create structures and monuments.
Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings to understand project specifications and details
Cutting and shaping stone pieces to precise dimensions using various tools such as hammers, chisels and power tools
Aligning and leveling stones using plumb-bobs, levels, and squares
Applying mortar to stone pieces and setting them into place, ensuring the stones are securely bonded
Carving and inscribing designs and letters onto stones, manually or using sandblasting tools
