About the role
This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal functioning and upkeep of our facilities . As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations, managing a team of maintenance personnel, and ensuring that all systems and structures are maintained to the highest standards. This position is integral to our operations and directly impacts the safety, comfort and satisfaction of everyone who uses our facilities.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and oversee all routine and preventative maintenance activities across the facility
- Manage and supervise the maintenance team, including scheduling, training and performance evaluation
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs, ensuring minimal downtime
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment and systems to identify potential issues before they become problems
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance work completed, including costs, materials used and labour hours
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and budgets to ensure cost-effective operations
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and building codes
- Source and manage suppliers and contractors for specialist maintenance work
- Prepare maintenance reports and recommendations for management
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance equipment
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar supervisory role in facility management
- Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and general maintenance practices
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and building maintenance standards
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and computer systems
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in facility management or maintenance engineering (preferred)
- Experience in managing budgets and controlling maintenance costs
- Ability to work flexibly and respond to urgent maintenance issues as required
Pay: RM6,500.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
