Responsibilities
Location: Damansara, Petaling Jaya
You'll lead and mentor the backend engineering team while remaining hands-on with Python, influencing system architecture, technical standards, performance and how scalable backend systems are built.

What We're Looking For
- Strong hands-on Python backend development experience
- At least 3 years' experience leading a technology or product team
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, system design & design patterns
- Experience with SOA & Microservices
- Strong SQL & NoSQL database experience
- Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka or similar
- Experience developing and managing containerised applications
- Experience building WebSocket-based systems
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of web security
- Experience with code optimisation & performance tuning
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
What You'll Lead
- Lead, manage and mentor the backend development team
- Set the technical direction for Python backend engineering
- Define technologies, technical specifications & development workflows
- Make architectural decisions across microservices, integrations & infrastructure
- Build efficient, scalable and high-performance Python systems
- Review code and eliminate anti-patterns & technical debt
- Improve system performance, security & reliability
- Coach developers and strengthen engineering capability
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems with the team
- Present system designs & technical solutions to the CTO and technical leadership
