Responsibilities

Background


This is a Data Analyst cum Accounts Payable (AP) support role, focused on driving digital transformation within the finance function. You will identify opportunities to develop automation solutions, streamline business processes, and apply AI technologies to improve operational efficiency.


You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Operations, IT, and other business teams to design and implement scalable automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Python, Power BI, and emerging AI technologies such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude.


Key Responsibilities


As a Data Analyst, the candidate will:

  • Identify new automation opportunities, recommend and implement automation and innovative digital solutions to improve operational efficiency and eliminate manual processes.
  • Design and develop automation solutions using Power Automate, Python, and Microsoft ecosystem tools.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support financial reporting.
  • Build and optimize data extraction, transformation, validation, and consolidation processes from multiple data sources.
  • Improve reporting accuracy through robust data quality, governance, and validation practices.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, process guides, and knowledge transfer materials to ensure solution sustainability and maintainability.
  • Act as a backup for the Accounts Payable (AP) team, providing coverage during leave or periods of absence.
  • Identify and lead automation opportunities across AP and other repetitive accounting tasks (e.g., reconciliations), leveraging data science and machine learning tools to reduce manual effort and risk.
  • Continuously review and improve AP processes and controls to increase efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Other Ad hoc duties.


Required Skills & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience in automation, digital transformation, business process improvement, or data analytics.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, Python scripting, SQL and advanced Microsoft Excel (Power Query, complex formulas).
  • Experience working with data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
