About Company:
Our client is a Singapore-based advisory and consulting firm. They are supporting clients in business consultation, market entry, accounting and tax matters, with a particular understanding of Japanese business practices and the needs of Japanese companies expanding or operating overseas.

Job Description:

• Full-set bookkeeping and month-end closing for a portfolio of client companies
• Preparation of statutory financial statements in English and Japanese
• Corporate and individual tax computation and filing support
• Direct communication with Japanese-speaking clients, including private/HNW individuals relocating to Singapore
• Preparation of reports and documentation for the Japan head office in Japanese
• Liaison with local colleagues and external parties in English
• Other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the company

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience at an accounting or tax firm
• Preferably Japanese CPA, Japanese Certified Tax Accountant, or USCPA - partial qualification or active study is welcomed
• Proven ability to independently prepare a complete set of financial statements
• Native-level Japanese proficient for client communication, documentation and Japan head-office reporting purposes
• Business-level English for internal and external liaison in Singapore
• Practical tax exposure is preferred.
• Interest in a long-term career path toward practice leadership

Compensation:

• Work location: Centre region, Singapore
• Working hours: Monday to Thursday 9am - 6pm, Friday 9am - 5.30pm
