Junior Multibeam Operator / Processor

Job Summary

The Junior Multibeam Operator / Processor will assist the survey team in multibeam data collection, processing and basic quality checking for marine and offshore survey projects. The role provides an opportunity to develop practical experience in hydrographic surveying, survey equipment and data processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation and monitoring of multibeam survey equipment during survey activities.
• Support the collection and processing of multibeam survey data.
• Assist with basic data cleaning, editing and quality checks.
• Support the preparation of survey data, drawings and reports.
• Maintain proper records of survey data and project documentation.
• Assist senior surveyors and processors with day-to-day survey activities.
• Follow project procedures, HSE requirements and instructions from senior team members.
• Perform other duties related to survey activities as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Geospatial Science or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with relevant academic or practical exposure may also be considered.
• Basic knowledge of surveying, GIS or marine survey is an advantage.
• Familiarity with survey or data processing software is an added advantage.
• Willing to learn and develop skills in multibeam survey operations and data processing.
• Good attention to detail and able to work as part of a team.
• Willing to travel and work offshore when required.
• Good communication skills in English.
