Essential Skills and Experience

• Experience delivering or supporting industrial information systems, manufacturing software, or OT integration projects.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols and technologies, including:
• OPC DA and OPC UA
• MQTT
• Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU
• EtherNet/IP
• Experience with one or more industrial historian platforms.
• Experience with industrial application platforms.
• Experience with SQL database knowledge, including:
• Database and table design
• SQL query development
• Stored procedures
• Data troubleshooting
• Performance and connectivity troubleshooting
• Experience integrating data between industrial systems, databases, and software applications.
• Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI, Microsoft Excel, or equivalent tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues across software applications, databases, networks, protocols, and industrial devices.
• Understanding of the project delivery lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and maintain accurate engineering records.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Ignition, AVEVA System Platform, AVEVA PI System, Canary Historian, or AspenTech InfoPlus.21.
• Experience configuring Kepware or other OPC connectivity software.
• Knowledge of Unified Namespace architecture and MQTT-based industrial integration.
• Knowledge of ISA-95 and IT/OT architecture concepts.
• Experience with REST APIs, web services, JSON, XML, or other application integration technologies.
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, C#, Java, or other programming and scripting languages.
• Familiarity with Git or another version control system.
• Experience using AI-assisted development environments and coding agents, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent tools.
• Understanding of Windows Server, virtual machines, networking, firewalls, and related infrastructure concepts.
• Familiarity with containers, Docker, cloud platforms, or cloud-connected industrial solutions.
• Understanding of industrial cybersecurity principles and secure system implementation practices.
• Experience working in manufacturing, process industries, or other industrial environments.
• Working knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and industrial automation system architectures
