Job Description

Responsibilities

This is a unique, comprehensive role divided into two core areas of our supply chain:

  • Pricing Analysis: You will research and determine the optimal price points for both purchasing devices from customers (buy side) and selling those devices back into global retail markets (sell side).
  • Product Listing: You will manage the creation and accuracy of our product listings across our active storefronts.

This role is part market researcher, part data analyst, and part digital catalog specialist. If you enjoy digging into data, spot patterns that others miss, and are highly organized, you will thrive here. No prior listing experience is required—we provide full, comprehensive training on our internal cataloging software and tech evaluation workflows.

What You’ll Do

  • Pricing & Margin Analysis (Buy & Sell Sides)
  • Research current market values and sales velocity trends across global platforms such as eBay, Amazon, Back Market, and other online marketplaces.
  • Analyze historical and current sales data to establish competitive purchase offers from customers while setting retail price points that maximize sales margins.
  • Monitor competitor activity, supply, demand, product releases, and seasonality that may impact product values.
  • Factor in operational costs—including shipping, labor, marketplace fees, and seller expenses—when evaluating pricing structure profitability.
  • Identify pricing inconsistencies and opportunities for margin growth, turning findings into clear recommendations.
  • E-Commerce Product Listing & Catalog Management
  • Create, launch, and manage high-quality product listings across major online storefronts using our inventory systems.
  • Input accurate technical specifications (models, configurations, generations, storage capacities, and cosmetic conditions) for a wide variety of consumer electronics.
  • Audit and review active listings for errors, typos, or missing specs before they go live to the public.
  • Collaborate closely with the broader inventory and operational teams to ensure newly acquired products are launched efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

  • Analytical & Critical Thinking: You genuinely enjoy digging into numbers, analyzing data sets, and figuring out what the market trends are telling you.
  • Extreme Attention to Detail: You easily notice typos, formatting errors, or data mismatches in large spreadsheets or product databases.
  • Tech Knowledge Matters: A strong baseline understanding of consumer electronics (smartphones, laptops, tablets) is essential. You should know—or be able to quickly figure out—why a MacBook with one internal processor configuration is worth significantly more than one that looks visually identical.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong basic skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Communication & Autonomy: Strong written English proficiency to write clear listing data and explain the reasoning behind your pricing suggestions. You must be a reliable self-starter capable of managing priorities independently in a remote workspace.

Why This Role Is Interesting

This role places you directly at the center of our business engine. The accuracy of your listings determines how customers find our products, and your pricing research directly impacts what inventory we win and the eventual profitability of the business. You will get an end-to-end education on how global e-commerce and ReCommerce markets operate behind the scenes.

Pay: From RM28.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Application Question(s):

  • What brought your interest to this position?
  • Let's say two MacBooks look nearly identical but have very different resale values. What factors would you research to understand why one is worth more than the other?
  • You're researching a device and find that recent sales data suggests it's worth $500, but several competitors are offering customers $450 to purchase the same device. How would you approach determining what we should offer?
  • You notice that the purchase price for a particular device hasn't changed in several months, but its resale value appears to be declining. What would you do next?
