WAREHOUSE MANAGER – JOB SCOPE
1. Warehouse Operations
- Manage and oversee all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
- Ensure all warehouse activities are carried out efficiently, accurately, and according to company SOP.
- Monitor the movement of goods to ensure timely and accurate stock handling.
2. Inventory Management
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records and stock balances.
- Conduct regular stock counts and stock checks to identify discrepancies.
- Ensure proper FIFO/FEFO practices are followed, especially for FMCG and expiry-sensitive products.
- Monitor near-expiry, damaged, slow-moving, and obsolete stock and take appropriate action.
3. Staff Management
- Lead, supervise, and manage warehouse staff and daily manpower allocation.
- Assign duties and ensure employees complete their responsibilities properly.
- Monitor staff attendance, productivity, discipline, and work performance.
- Provide training and guidance to warehouse staff on SOP, safety, and work procedures.
4. Receiving & Dispatch
- Ensure all incoming goods are properly checked against delivery orders, purchase orders, and physical quantities.
- Ensure goods are stored in the correct location after receiving.
- Monitor picking and packing accuracy before goods are dispatched.
- Ensure all outgoing goods are checked and properly documented.
5. Warehouse Safety & Cleanliness
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised, and safe at all times.
- Ensure proper storage arrangements to prevent product damage and workplace accidents.
- Monitor the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Ensure staff comply with company safety procedures and regulations.
6. Stock Control & Loss Prevention
- Investigate stock discrepancies, shortages, damages, and losses.
- Implement proper controls to minimise stock wastage, damage, and pilferage.
- Ensure all stock adjustments and disposals are properly authorised and documented.
7. KPI & Productivity
- Set and monitor warehouse KPIs such as picking accuracy, receiving accuracy, stock accuracy, productivity, order fulfilment, and wastage.
- Prepare performance reports and take corrective action when targets are not achieved.
- Continuously improve warehouse processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
8. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate warehouse records, documents, and reports.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse reports for management.
- Coordinate with HR, Purchasing, Sales, Finance, and Operations departments regarding warehouse matters.
9. Warehouse Planning
- Plan warehouse space and ensure proper utilisation of storage areas.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with relevant departments to prevent overstock or stock shortages.
- Plan manpower and resources according to operational requirements.
10. Leadership & Problem Solving
- Take immediate action to resolve operational issues and warehouse-related problems.
- Identify process weaknesses and recommend improvements to management.
- Ensure smooth coordination between warehouse, delivery, purchasing, sales, and other departments.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
