Job Description
We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join a high-standard Japanese restaurant. The successful candidate will support the kitchen team in sushi preparation and omakase service.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare sushi and ingredients according to the restaurant's standards.
Assist with omakase preparation and kitchen operations.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
Ensure ingredients and food preparation areas are properly organised.
Work closely with the kitchen team to support smooth daily operations.
Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
At least 1 year of relevant experience in sushi preparation or a similar kitchen role.
Experience in sushi preparation is required.
Prior experience in omakase preparation is an advantage.
Experience working in Singapore or Malaysia will be considered.
Basic English communication skills to communicate effectively with colleagues and understand workplace instructions.
Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle physically demanding work.
Strong teamwork, work discipline and willingness to learn.
Candidates will be assessed based on their relevant skills, experience and suitability for the role.
