About the role

This role involves performing routine preventive maintenance, servicing, and inspection of factory machinery and equipment. You will replace worn or damaged mechanical components, carry out welding and fabrication work, and inspect and maintain chain-drive systems. You will conduct regular equipment patrols to identify abnormal conditions and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues to minimize production downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, servicing, and inspection of factory machinery and equipment

• Replace bearings, ring dies, and other worn or damaged mechanical components as required

• Carry out welding, fabrication, mechanical repair, and equipment maintenance work

• Inspect, maintain, adjust, and repair chains, sprockets, and chain-drive systems

• Conduct regular equipment patrol inspections to identify abnormal conditions, wear, damage, or potential mechanical problems

• Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and assist in equipment breakdown repairs to minimize production downtime

• Implement maintenance and repair plans provided by the Equipment Engineer and carry out hands-on repair and maintenance work accordingly

• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in accordance with company procedures

• Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S practices in the maintenance/workshop area

About you

• Certificate, SKM, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, Welding, or a related technical field

• Relevant working experience in machinery or factory equipment maintenance is preferred

• Hands-on experience in mechanical repair, bearing replacement, welding, chain-drive maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting is an advantage

• Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance and mechanical systems

• Able to use common mechanical tools, measuring instruments, and welding equipment

• Able to identify mechanical abnormalities and perform basic troubleshooting

• Willing to perform hands-on maintenance and repair work in a factory environment

• Able to work independently and as part of a maintenance team

• Responsible, safety-conscious, and willing to learn

• Fresh graduates with relevant technical qualifications are encouraged to apply
