THE COMPANY

Our Client is a renowned organization in the power solution industry with a strong presence worldwide. They are looking for an FPGA Firmware Engineer (VHDL) as part of their expansion plans in Singapore, reporting to the Head of Design

THE ROLE

The FPGA Firmware Engineer (VHDL) is responsible for:

• Design, develop, and test firmware and FPGA solutions for embedded systems.
• Create and maintain VHDL-based designs for new and existing products.
• Define system architecture, interfaces, timing requirements, and design solutions.
• Troubleshoot and debug firmware and FPGA issues using hardware test equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation and support projects from development through production.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded firmware development and real-time systems.
• Hands-on experience with FPGA development, CPLD/FPGA devices, and VHDL programming.
• Knowledge of HDL design, SPI or similar communication interfaces, version control, and firmware release management.
• Experience with Xilinx FPGA devices, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and PCB design tools such as Altium are an advantage.
