Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
· Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to support secure, automated deployments across multiple environments.
· Manage container orchestration platforms (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker) to ensure scalability, resilience, and compliance.
· Collaborate with developers and architects to integrate DevOps practices into application design and delivery.
· Monitor and optimise system performance using observability tools, ensuring high availability of government applications.
· Implement security controls and compliance checks aligned with public‑sector standards (e.g. SHIP‑HATS).
· Support incident and problem management by troubleshooting deployment, infrastructure, and environment issues.
· Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) tools where applicable.
· Document processes, configurations, and standards to ensure knowledge transfer and audit readiness.
· Engage vendors and external partners to align DevOps practices with government frameworks.
Requirements
· Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
· Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
· Familiarity with DevOps practices in production environments.
· Experience in deployment automation and environment management.
· Understanding of secure software delivery in regulated environments.
· Minimum 5 years in DevOps, system engineering, or related roles.
· Proven track record supporting large‑scale applications or platforms.
· Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Technical Skills
· Programming / Scripting: Shell, Python, Groovy.
· Containers: Docker, Kubernetes.
· CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps
· Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP.
· Infrastructure‑as‑Code: Terraform, Ansible.
