F&B Cafe Purchaser (Aida Cafe)
Location: Cyberjaya & Petaling Jaya, Selangor (Requires travel between both cafes)

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Head of Department, the F&B Cafe Purchaser takes full charge of daily ingredient sourcing and stock coordination for Aida Cafe’s PJ and Cyberjaya outlets. This is a highly active, feet-on-the-ground role focused on keeping our kitchens running seamlessly without any supply gaps. You will manage everyday buying, maintain close relationships with food suppliers, and keep a sharp eye on food costs. This role is ideal for someone who prefers a hands-on operational routine over a standard desk job and is fully comfortable splitting their time between two lively cafe locations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Day-to-Day Buying: Handle daily requisitions, issue purchase orders (POs), and follow up closely on orders to ensure zero ingredient shortages in the kitchen.
• Ingredient Sourcing: Source high-quality fresh produce, meats, dry goods, and packaging; gather competitive quotes to ensure the cafe gets the best market rates.
• Supplier Relations: Serve as the main contact for our local vendors and wet market suppliers. Confidently negotiate prices and quickly resolve any delivery shortfalls or quality issues.
• On-Site Quality & Inventory Check: Conduct physical stock counts at both cafe outlets. Personally inspect incoming deliveries for absolute freshness, accurate weights, and food safety.
• Food Cost Control: Monitor fluctuating market prices for raw food materials, track spending habits, and organize invoices carefully for the Finance team's timely processing.
• Operational Support: Carry out extra administrative tasks and ad-hoc operational duties as required by the Head of Department and management.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on purchasing, inventory, or kitchen operations experience within a cafe, restaurant, central kitchen, or bakery. Fresh graduates with a strong drive and relevant F&B internship experience are highly encouraged to apply.
• Mobility: Must possess own transport (car/motorcycle) and be completely willing to travel regularly between the Petaling Jaya and Cyberjaya cafes.
• Skills: Excellent verbal communication, comfortable texting, calling, and dealing directly with local food traders. Strong attention to detail (handling perishable expiry dates) and basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Mindset: Proactive, organized, and highly adaptable to the fast-moving rhythms of a growing cafe business.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
