Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Architect role located in Kuala Lumpur. The Architect will be responsible for developing architectural concepts, preparing design proposals, and producing drawings and documentation from schematic design through construction details. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with internal design teams and external consultants, attending client and site meetings, and ensuring design compliance with local regulations and standards. The role also involves supporting project planning, monitoring design progress, and assisting with tender documentation and construction supervision. The Architect will contribute to design reviews, maintain project records, and help ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, spatial planning, and technical detailing.
- Candidates should possess skills in Project Management, such as coordinating stakeholders, managing timelines, and supporting documentation and reporting.
- Candidates should possess skills in Integration and collaboration, including working with multidisciplinary teams and aligning design solutions with engineering and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess relevant software skills, such as proficiency in CAD/BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit), 3D visualization software, and general productivity software; experience with software development or scripting for design workflows is an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Architecture from a recognized institution; professional registration or progress toward registration is preferred.
- Strong understanding of building codes, local regulations, and sustainable design principles.
- Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within a team on-site.
- Prior experience in hospitality, education, commercial, or mixed-use projects is beneficial.
