About Us

Media & Art, established in 2014, is a Korea-based content and exhibition company creating cultural experiences that bring together art, media and storytelling.
We operate GROUNDSEESAW, our exhibition and cultural platform with multiple locations in Seoul and Singapore.
We are currently looking for a VR Exhibition Technical Operator to join GROUNDSEESAW Singapore for our upcoming immersive VR exhibition.
This role combines technical support and day-to-day exhibition operations. You do not need to be a software engineer but you should be comfortable working with computers, networks and VR/AV equipment,
following technical instructions in English and communicating with our overseas technical partner.
Training on the exhibition system will be provided.

Job Responsibilities

VR System Monitoring & Technical Support

  • Monitor the VR exhibition system and equipment throughout daily operations
  • Conduct daily system checks and ensure all systems are ready before opening
  • Monitor VR headset, software and system status
  • Identify and respond to hardware, software and connectivity issues
  • Perform first-level troubleshooting for VR headsets, monitoring systems, kiosks and related equipment
  • Perform basic system and equipment maintenance
  • Record and track technical incidents and malfunctioning equipment
  • Escalate unresolved technical issues to our overseas technical partner
  • Identify recurring technical issues and document standard troubleshooting procedures
  • Develop and maintain simple troubleshooting guides so that Exhibition Crew can handle common first-level issues where appropriate

Technical Communication

  • Communicate directly in English with our overseas technical partner when technical support is required
  • Clearly explain technical issues, symptoms and troubleshooting steps already taken
  • Follow remote troubleshooting instructions and technical documentation
  • Coordinate with relevant vendors and internal teams when onsite technical support is required

Equipment Management

  • Prepare and manage VR headsets and related equipment
  • Check headset and battery status
  • Support charging, storage and basic maintenance of VR equipment
  • Maintain accurate equipment and incident records
  • Keep technical equipment and work areas organised and ready for operation

Exhibition Operations

  • Support the Exhibition Coordinator with day-to-day venue operations
  • Assist with visitor operations during busy periods when there are no active technical issues
  • Support the Part-Time Exhibition Crew when operational assistance is required
  • Assist with daily opening and closing procedures
  • Help maintain smooth communication between the exhibition floor, Coordinator and technical partner

The Technical Operator’s primary responsibility remains VR system monitoring and technical support, even when assisting with general exhibition operations.

Requirements

  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Comfortable communicating with international technical teams
  • Comfortable working with computers and technical equipment
  • Basic understanding of IT, networking, AV systems or technical support
  • Familiarity with terms such as server, network switch, Wi-Fi access point (AP), IP address, DHCP, software update and system reboot is preferred
  • Able to read and follow technical manuals and troubleshooting procedures
  • Calm and methodical when dealing with technical issues
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable and comfortable working independently when required
  • Must be available to work weekends as part of the regular roster
  • Available to work on Public Holidays when scheduled

Preferred Background
Experience or education in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage:

  • IT Support / Technical Support
  • VR / Operations
  • Museum or Attraction Technical Operations
  • Information Technology / Information Systems

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, roster-based position.

  • Regular weekend work is required
  • Applicants must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays according to the roster
  • Weekly rest days will be scheduled on other days according to the roster
  • Public Holiday shifts may also be required, with time off in lieu provided for Public Holidays worked
  • Working hours will follow the exhibition operating schedule
  • Training on the VR system and operational procedures will be provided before opening

Salary

SGD 2,600–2,900 per month, depending on relevant experience.

Candidates with relevant experience in IT support, AV, technical operations or similar fields may be considered at the higher end of the salary range.
