About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Datasphere Consultant with a strong background in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and deep expertise in SAP HANA and/or BW/4HANA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience delivering at least one end-to-end SAP Datasphere implementation, with a strong focus on data modelling, integration, and analytics enablement — combining a modern cloud data platform skillset with a solid legacy SAP data foundation.

Key Responsibilities:

Datasphere Solution Design & Data Modelling

• Lead and contribute to the design and implementation of SAP Datasphere solutions.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain data models within Datasphere, including analytical datasets, data layers (staging, business, consumption), and semantic modelling and relationships.
• Design views (graphical and SQL), fact and dimension models, and business layer modelling in line with best practices.
• Apply data access controls and semantic usage rules to ensure secure, governed data consumption.

Data Integration & Architecture

• Integrate data from various SAP and non-SAP sources into Datasphere using replication flows, data flows, and virtual access techniques.
• Design and implement end-to-end data flows, ensuring data quality, governance, and performance throughout.
• Support data virtualization and replication strategies within Datasphere.
• Support Space Management within Datasphere, including recommendations on sizing and architecture.

Analytics & Reporting (SAC)

• Work within SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to develop reports and dashboards.
• Build stories, models, and configure live/data import connections within SAC.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate reporting and analytics requirements into scalable data models.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Best Practices

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into robust, scalable data architectures.
• Apply best practices in data architecture, modelling standards, and performance tuning across the Datasphere landscape.
• Work within agile delivery environments, participating in sprint ceremonies and iterative delivery cycles.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory

• Proven experience with SAP Datasphere, including at least one full lifecycle implementation.
• Strong expertise in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including story building, modelling, and live/data import connections.
• Solid background in SAP HANA and/or BW/4HANA (minimum 3-5+ years).
• Deep understanding of data modelling concepts in Datasphere, including views (graphical and SQL), fact and dimension modelling, business layer modelling, and data access controls/semantic usage.
• Experience with data integration techniques — replication flows, data flows, and virtual access.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modelling best practices.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., star schema, layered architecture).
• Experience working in agile delivery environments.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Experience with SAP BW/4HANA transformations and modelling.
• Knowledge of SAP Data Intelligence or SAP Integration Suite.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and hybrid architectures.
• SAP certifications in Datasphere, SAC, or BW/4HANA.
• Exposure to governance, security, and data cataloging within Datasphere (key differentiator).
