What The Role Is

HTX is Singapore's Science and Technology agency that brings together diverse scientific and engineering capabilities to develop transformative, operationally ready solutions for public safety. The Biometrics & Profiling Centre of Expertise (CoE) develops advanced biometric, behavioural analytics and profiling technologies to strengthen identity verification and threat detection for Singapore’s Home Team. Its capabilities span facial, fingerprint and iris recognition, behavioural profiling and credibility assessment, supporting secure and seamless checkpoint operations while enabling frontline officers to identify potential security risks more effectively and non-intrusively.

The incumbent will be part of a dynamic team which works in the nascent area of behavioural profiling and credibility assessment technologies, contributing to the development and operationalisation of innovative capabilities for the Home Team.



What You Will Be Working On

The Lead/Engineer (Profiling) will be responsible for the following, but not limited to which:

  • Innovate, develop, and implement behavioural profiling technologies for the Home Team
  • Develop computer vision Proof-of-Concepts (POC) to detect observable behaviours
  • Perform AI modelling, training, inferencing based on video data
  • Integrate modalities such as physiological responses, voice stress and facial expressions
  • Design the User Interface for the POC
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of users to advance behavioural profiling technologies in the Home Team
  • Participate in technical conferences and author/co-author scientific publications

What We Are Looking For

Candidates should possess:

  • Minimum tertiary qualification (Degree) in Computer Science/Engineering and/or related disciplines
  • Strong interest in Computer Vision
  • Good knowledge of AI and Machine Learning
  • Candidates with no prior experience are welcome to apply. Candidates with at least 5 years of relevant experience may be considered for senior positions.

  • Be able to work independently and handle pressure well
  • Be a team player
  • Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Be able to write and speak well



All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
