We are looking for a Senior Engineer - Workplace Technology to support the day-to-day operation, administration, security, and continuous improvement of our Microsoft 365 environment. You will help protect critical workplace services across identity, data, endpoints, compliance, and messaging, while supporting projects, platform upgrades, migrations, and security improvement initiatives.

Make An Impact By

• Administer, monitor, support, and maintain Microsoft 365 security and workplace technology services, providing escalated troubleshooting for complex operational and security issues.
• Monitor service health, security alerts, policy compliance, vulnerabilities, and operational risks, and coordinate remediation with relevant teams.
• Support incident, problem, change, and service request activities, including root cause analysis for significant or recurring issues.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID controls including Conditional Access, MFA, authentication methods, Identity Protection, PIM, RBAC, enterprise applications, application registrations, and service principals.
• Troubleshoot authentication and access issues, support identity security investigations, and perform regular reviews of identity and privileged access configurations.
• Administer Microsoft Purview capabilities including DLP, Sensitivity Labels, Information Protection, retention, Audit, eDiscovery, Records Management, and data lifecycle controls.
• Monitor and investigate DLP and compliance events, support audits and security exception management, and tune policies to maintain effective controls while minimising unnecessary business impact.
• Administer Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, including device compliance, configuration profiles, security baselines, application protection, EDR, Defender Antivirus, ASR, Windows Firewall, and BitLocker.
• Troubleshoot device enrolment, configuration, compliance, application, and endpoint security issues, and support vulnerability remediation.
• Administer Microsoft Exchange Online and messaging security controls, including mail flow, transport rules, mailbox permissions, policies, and investigation of suspicious email activity.
• Work closely with Cyber Security, Infrastructure teams, Microsoft, vendors, and service providers, while maintaining operational documentation, runbooks, configuration standards, and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in Microsoft 365 and Workplace Technology projects, upgrades, migrations, testing, implementation, operational readiness, and identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.
  
  

Skills For Success

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Typically 5-8+ years of experience in Microsoft 365, Workplace Technology, infrastructure, endpoint management, identity, or security operations within a large enterprise environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, Identity Protection, PIM, RBAC, Enterprise Applications, and authentication troubleshooting.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, including DLP, Sensitivity Labels, Information Protection, retention, Audit, eDiscovery, and data governance.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint security, including device management, compliance policies, security baselines, Defender for Endpoint, EDR, ASR, Firewall, and BitLocker.
• Experience administering Microsoft Exchange Online, including mail flow, transport rules, permissions, and messaging security.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell for administration, troubleshooting, reporting, and automation; Microsoft Graph API / Graph PowerShell SDK knowledge is advantageous.
• Good understanding of identity security, endpoint security, data protection, Zero Trust, vulnerability management, and security governance.
• Experience troubleshooting complex technical and security issues and working within incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Experience supporting infrastructure/security projects, migrations, upgrades, or technology deployments; relevant Microsoft certifications are advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, stakeholder management, communication, documentation, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement skills.
