Responsibilities
POSITIONDESCRIPTION:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Studies (DS) and in close collaboration with the Academic Coordinator (AC), the Children’s and Teens’ Programme Coordinator is responsible for planning, organising, overseeing and developing all activitiesrelated to the registration and administration of toddler, children’s, and teens’ courses at the Language Centre.
The Children’s and Teens’ Programme Coordinator supervises the registration team dedicated to toddler, children’s, and teens’ classes, organises workflows, ensures the smooth coordination of daily activities, and provides guidance and support to administrative and teaching staff of the Language Centre.
The Children’s and Teens’ Programme Coordinator initiates, leads, and supports educational and pedagogical projects, and contributes to teacher training and professional development activities. If needed, the Programme Coordinator shall provide a minimum number of teaching hours per week, on Saturdays and in case of last-minute replacements.
The position requires a strong commitment to the Alliance Française’s innovation and development initiatives, as well as a high degree of adaptability, versatility and teamwork to respond to the different stakeholders (clients, students, teachers, administrative team and decision makers).

With a mixed team of Singaporeans and French, and more than 4,000members of all ages, the Alliance Française de Singapore fulfils its mission of teaching the French language and promoting French and Francophone cultures by offering various actions in its Language Center, gallery, theatre and library.
Alliance Française de Singapour was founded in 1949. It is a non-profit educational and cultural organization, affiliated to the international network of Alliance Française. With more than 800 locations in 132 countries, the Alliance Française is undoubtedly the world’s largest network of any cultural association; it serves and gathers worldwide a multilingual and multicultural community of Francophiles.
Each year, Alliance Française de Singapour welcomes around 4,000 members of all ages (from 1 year old onwards) eager to learn the French language and explore French culture. It is also hosting the General Delegation of the Alliance Française in South East Asia, making it the flagship of the region.
For many years, Alliance Française de Singapour has offered a great array of cinema and performing arts events in its theatre as well as various visual art exhibitions in

becoming a renowned cultural destination.
In the buzzing evolving Singaporean cultural landscape, Alliance Française continues to contribute in its modest fashion to the regional influence of the cultural scene of the City-State by positioning itself as a place of cultural expression for emerging artists of all disciplines. It articulates its cultural programming around five major events: the Francophonie Festival in March, the French Animation Film Festival in May, the International Music Day in June, the French Film Festival in November and the Fashion Artisan Week in December. Added to these major events are many other regular cultural
rendez-vous
: the Ciné-Club, the Ciné-Kids, the Ciné-Plus and the storytelling in

. Alliance Française also organizes social events (Bastille Day, French Friday) where our students and public can enjoy a taste of French flavors while using the French language.
Most of our events are organized in partnership with the unfailing support of the French Embassy/Institut Français Singapour and local partners.
Alliance Française cultural and educational programming is extremely rich and coherent in achieving its goal: to create a desire of France (and French) to an everlasting greater community of people whose strength is built from crosscultural understanding which is at the heart of all dialogue.
