Job Description

Responsibilities

Description

As an AI Digital Transformation Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design, implementation, and adoption of AI-driven solutions to accelerate digital transformation initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, translate business needs into technical solutions, and contribute to the delivery of high-impact projects. The AI Digital Transformation Engineer is a hands-on role that turns these projects into working tools. The incumbent will work directly with the CEO Asia, build and configure solutions personally, and work with technology partners and consultants where it makes more sense to buy than to build. The role suits someone genuinely passionate about AI who wants to see their work used every day by real teams.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Document Control System

  • Take part in the final selection of the document control system, then lead its rollout across projects.
  • Configure the workflows, migrate existing documents, and train users.
  • Build AI automation for repetitive document control tasks such as registering, classifying, checking, and distributing documents.

Payroll Automation for Thailand

  • Work with the payroll team in Thailand to understand the current process.
  • Design and build a tool that removes repetitive manual work, with checks and controls the payroll team can trust.
  • Design the tool with data protection from the start, given the highly confidential nature of payroll data.

Recruitment, Maintenance Engineering and Business Development Support

  • Develop the AI features of the applicant tracking system with the software vendor, so CV screening and ranking become more accurate and useful to recruiters.
  • Support technology partnerships that bring AI and digital tools into the maintenance engineering and commissioning services delivered to clients.
  • Support the internal research tools used by the business development team when needed.

IT Infrastructure and Partner Management

  • Specify, set up, and maintain the hardware and hosting these tools need, including local AI models where appropriate.
  • Help decide what to build in-house and what to outsource; brief, follow, and review the work of external consultants and vendors.
  • Document what is built, train users, collect feedback, and keep improving the tools after go-live.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 1 to 4 years of experience; company experience is welcome, but personal, academic, or internship projects are also valued, as long as the candidate built them and can show them working.
  • At least one AI solution implemented for real users, inside or outside a company, with the ability to explain what was built, why, and what went wrong.
  • Experience with retrieval over company documents (RAG), AI agents, or workflow automation tools is an advantage.
  • Experience with a document management system, payroll, or HR software is an advantage.
  • Exposure to oil and gas, energy, or engineering services is an advantage.
  • Experience working with external vendors or consultants is an advantage.
