Role Description The Audit Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Shah Alam. This role involves performing financial audits, assisting in the preparation and review of financial statements, and evaluating internal controls to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The Audit Associate will support audit planning and execution, document audit findings, and prepare working papers and reports for review by senior team members. The role also includes liaising with clients to gather information, clarify audit issues, and contribute to recommendations that improve financial processes and controls. The Audit Associate will collaborate closely with partners and managers to deliver high-quality, timely, and professional audit services.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Auditing and Financial Audits to conduct detailed reviews and ensure compliance with professional standards.
  • Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Finance and Financial Statements to analyze client accounts and support accurate reporting.
  • Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify issues, and propose practical solutions.
  • Relevant academic background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and independence in all engagements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team and interact professionally with clients.
  • Proficiency in common accounting and audit software, along with good MS Excel skills.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt to changing requirements, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
