Position Overview:
Assist the Head of Compliance to manage compliance and regulatory risks. Provide compliance advisory, perform monitoring and testing, and execute the compliance program with minimal supervision.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
1. Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor regulatory developments, conduct regulatory gap analysis and work with the relevant business owners
- Support submission of regulatory reporting and notification to MAS
- Advise business on regulatory requirements and compliance risks
- Support internal audits and coordinate responses to regulatory queries
2. AML/CFT and client due diligence:
- Review and monitor client onboarding, KYC and enhanced due diligence processes
- Support investigation and escalation of suspicious transactions
- Conduct AML/CFT EWRA to ensure AML/CFT risks are identified and mitigated
3. Compliance monitoring and Testing:
- Conduct transaction monitoring and quality assurance testing
- Identify compliance gaps and recommend remediation
4. Policies and procedures
- Review and update compliance policies and procedures to ensure they remain aligned with regulatory requirements and business model
5. General Compliance:
- Conduct conflicts of interest assessment
- Review of Personal Account Dealing approvals
- Provide compliance training to employees
6. Perform any ad-hoc projects and tasks, as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree holder in any discipline with at least 3 years of Compliance experience in the financial industry
- Familiar with rules and regulations applicable CMSL
- Knowledge about fiat and DPT transaction monitoring, travel rule and wallet screenings
- Familiarly with digital assets and distributed ledger technology a plus.
