Job Summary
TAPA Asia Pacific seeks a proactive Manager, Membership Business Development – APAC to drive growth by identifying and converting new membership opportunities within the supply-chain security ecosystem across the region.
Responsibilities
Build and manage a qualified pipeline of prospective Buyer, LSP, and other eligible members across APAC to support membership growth
Research and identify target organisations, sectors, and markets with strategic relevance to TAPA APAC’s mission
Conduct outreach, introductory meetings, and membership presentations to engage prospects and manage follow-up through to successful conversion
Develop new membership opportunities through industry networks, referrals, campaigns, conferences, and other TAPA activities
Drive lead qualification and conversion from digital campaigns, events, and industry engagement to meet acquisition targets
Maintain disciplined and accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and follow-up using CRM tools to ensure pipeline visibility
Develop strategic Buyer prospect lists across priority APAC markets to focus business development efforts
Collaborate closely with Membership, Marketing Communications, and other TAPA APAC teams to support growth initiatives and align strategies
Identify opportunities related to TAPA Standards, Training, Brand Protection, and other programmes and refer them to relevant teams for follow-up
Ensure a professional and seamless handover of successfully converted members to the Membership engagement and retention team to maximize member experience
Preferred competencies and qualifications
3–5 years of relevant experience in B2B business development, sales, membership development, account management, or industry association roles
Experience in logistics, supply chain, security, technology, professional services, or other relevant B2B environments is advantageous
Proven ability to engage senior corporate stakeholders and develop relationships through consultative, longer-cycle engagement
Strong prospecting, presentation, communication, follow-up, and organisational skills demonstrated in previous roles
Proficient in CRM discipline with the ability to manage a structured sales or acquisition pipeline effectively
Strong written and spoken English skills to communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders; additional APAC language capabilities are advantageous for regional engagement
Self-driven mindset with comfort working towards measurable acquisition and pipeline objectives
Willingness to travel regionally as required to support business development activities
Knowledge of supply-chain security and an existing regional industry network are advantageous but not mandatory
